Slick Arnold

Are three kids with a passion for playing music! We formed about three years ago and got together because we are like minded, creative and enthusiastic kids who have a huge desire to perform to anyone who wants to listen. We play music that resembles a cross between rock and light punk. It began as covers, but we have discovered a real buzz from creating and playing originals, especially due to the resultant success from local live performances.
Performances originated locally in the Barossa Valley at local schools playing to our peers, and these performances have given us access to local businesses and private parties.

Diamond Sins

Mix the attitude of 70’s punk with the over the top hair metal of the 80’ and you get Diamond sins; Diamond Sins are a four-piece Glam rock band based In Adelaide, Australia.Formed in late 2006 Diamond Sins have already played a handful of gigs and built a steady following with their destructive and decadent music and larger than life stage show which includes sexy dancers, home made explosions and much more.“Diamond Sins aren’t just another hardcore band claiming to be rock! We are the real deal” The band draws influences from a wide range of music and life experiences, the combination is loud, raw and dirty.

Abeyant

Abeyant are a 3 piece hard rock, high energy act from Port Lincoln South Australia who have played with the likes of the Testeagles and the Hot Lies.
Abeyant have recently finished recording their debut release entitled ‘mime to the blind,’ The recording is very diverse and covers aspects of rock, metal, funk and includes two acoustic tracks.

Abeyant are:
Byron Mortimer (vocals/bass)
Jacob Bockelberg (guitars/vocals)
Dylan Mortimer (drums/vocals

Formed during 2002 while all members were at school in Port Lincoln, where they did the majority of their gigs for the next three years. Abeyant also played a lot of shows and adopted a very strong fan base from the towns on the West Coast of SA.
Abeyant are constantly writing new material and are looking to go back to the studio and start work on a shorter EP.

Enola’s Secret

Enola’s Secret are a 6-piece melodic “Emotronic” rock band. These six seasoned musicians share a long-term love affair with music and a genuine commitment to their loyal following at home in Adelaide and abroad.

Forming in early 2007, Enolas Secret have worked tirelessly to find both originality and diversity in their song-writing. This has been captured on their first demo, released March 2007. Featuring the first 3 songs the band has written, the demo originally only available on myspace has surfaced overseas and has spread all over the nation, by word of mouth and mail. The online single, “This Is War” has received critical acclaim and radio airplay on both Triple J and Nova radio.

Since first hitting the stage in April 2007, their tight, explosive live set has seen the band share the stage with a number of national and international acts, including The Used (US), Aiden (US), The Gallows (UK), The Bled (US), Boys Night Out (Can), Drop Dead Gorgeous (US), I Killed The Prom Queen (AUS), Carpathian (AUS), In Fiction (AUS), House vs Hurricane (AUS), Her Latest Flame (AUS), and many more.

Since the band began in March 2007, they have toured extensively both in South Australia and interstate - playing in excess of 50 shows, with this level of touring looking to continue into 2008. Now with help of several booking agents the boys will be busier still and have made credible contacts in each state. With their debut EP to be released late in 2008, building a large fan base has been number one priority.

With Matt Holland, Fabian Folghera, Brendan Bishop and Wade Thomas at the helm (Formerly Wishlist) joined by Chris Miles (Radio Sound Salvation) and Mark Veleski (Happy Go Dead), Enola’s Secret draws on diverse influences but delivers a solid and unique sound, fresh to the hardcore/emo scene in Australia. These 6 members have collectively toured the country in respective bands, supporting acts such as The Getaway Plan, Behind Crimson Eyes, Lee Harding, Kid Courageous and Kisschasy.

“Originality, passion and intensity breaking through a sea of fists and sweat” - Chris (House vs Hurricane)

Off the Couch (OTC) is a series of live music events, run by, and for, young people 26 years and under. It’s a program philosophically committed to engaging young people’s participation. OTC provides opportunities for training and skills development, and pathways to the music industry. It provides young people the opportunity to be part of a team that will be responsible for planning all aspects of a major event. OTC provides a multitude of performance opportunities for young musicians to perform their original music in a professional arena. The making and performing of music to one’s peers and community is essential. Music IS youth and youth IS music.

OFF THE COUCH (OTC) BACKGROUND

For twelve years Off the Couch has been the annual South Australian contemporary youth music festival. The OTC program has been expanded and restructured to incorporate the information and experience that the last eleven years have provided. PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

Annually, the combined events of OTC present and promote the talents of a host of young emerging bands/musicians. Young people of all backgrounds, from the ages of 13-26 years and from diverse musical genres and performance interest areas are invited to become part of OTC to showcase their talent. There are a collection of performances that occur each year, from monthly gigs, to regional South Australian tours. It is our aim that there is always be a team or gig/event that any interested young person can participate in. There is a ‘call-out’ for team and talent each year, and a continuum of opportunities, for both musicians and team members to gain performance and music industry skills.
